چکیده

Chinese cork oak ( Quercus variabilis ) is a widely distributed and highly valuable deciduous broadleaf tree from both ecological economic perspectives. Seeds of this species are recalcitrant, i.e., sensitive to desiccation, which affects their storage long-term preservation germplasm. However, little known about the underlying molecular mechanism desiccation sensitivity Q. seeds. In study, seeds were desiccated with silica gel for certain days as different treatments 0 (Control) 15 (T15) gradient 1 day. According seed germination percentage, four key stages (Control, T2, T4, T11) found. Then transcriptomic profiles these compared. A total 4,405, 4,441, 5,907 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) identified in T2 vs. Control, T4 T11 respectively. Among them, 2,219 DEGs overlapped three comparison groups. Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analysis showed that enriched into 124 pathways, such “Plant hormone signal transduction” “Glycerophospholipid metabolism”. related biosynthesis transduction ZEP, YUC, PYR, ABI5, ERF1B , etc.), stress response proteins LEA D-29, HSP70 phospholipase D PLD1 detected during desiccation. These interactions may determine addition, group specific also Control PP2C62, UNE12 WRKY1-like, WAK10 IBH1, bZIP44 Finally, possible work model was proposed show regulation This first report on using RNA-Seq. The findings could make great contribution conservation recalcitrant future.

Comparative Transcriptome Analysis Identifies Candidate Genes Related to Skin Color Differentiation in Red Tilapia

Red tilapia is becoming more popular for aquaculture production in China in recent years. However, the pigmentation differentiation in genetic breeding is the main problem limiting its development of commercial red tilapia culture and the genetic basis of skin color variation is still unknown. In this study, we conducted Illumina sequencing of transcriptome on three color variety red tilapia. A...

Comparative Transcriptome Analysis Reveal Candidate Genes Potentially Involved in Regulation of Primocane Apex Rooting in Raspberry (Rubus spp.)

Raspberries (Rubus spp.) exhibit a unique rooting process that is initiated from the stem apex of primocane, conferring an unusual asexual mode of reproduction to this plant. However, the full complement of genes involved in this process has not been identified. To this end, the present study analyzed the transcriptomes of the Rubus primocane and floricane stem apex at three developmental stage...

Comparative transcriptome analysis reveals key genes potentially related to soluble sugar and organic acid accumulation in watermelon

Soluble sugars and organic acids are important components of fruit flavor and have a strong impact on the overall organoleptic quality of watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) fruit. Several studies have analyzed the expression levels of the genes related to soluble sugar accumulation and the dynamic changes in their content during watermelon fruit development and ripening. Nevertheless, to date, ther...

Association of Candidate Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms Related to Candidate Genes in Patients With Schizophrenia

Introduction: Schizophrenia is a chronic heterogenic neurodevelopment disorder. Many genes interfere in the development of SCZ. All four genes, NrCAM, PRODH, ANK3, and ANKK1, which were evaluated in this study, were previously reported to be associated with Schizophrenia. The NrCAM contributes to creating cognitive deficiencies through the CAM’s signaling pathway. PRODH plays a vital role in cr...

Ecological significance of seed desiccation sensitivity in Quercus ilex.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Several widespread tree species of temperate forests, such as species of the genus Quercus, produce recalcitrant (desiccation-sensitive) seeds. However, the ecological significance of seed desiccation sensitivity in temperate regions is largely unknown. Do seeds of such species suffer from drying during the period when they remain on the soil, between shedding in autumn and ...
